The Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission was established as part of the criminal justice reform enacted in Chapter 253 of the Acts of 2020. As a newly formed government agency, POST needed a complete brand identity, specifically starting with the creation of a logo.
The logo for POST had to embody its primary mission. This mission involves enhancing public trust in law enforcement via the implementation of compulsory certification, training, and discipline for all peace officers. Through the establishment of the POST Commission, the Commonwealth took a crucial step towards improving public safety and building trust between law enforcement personnel and their communities. To reflect this, Jackrabbit designed a logo that exuded professionalism and trustworthiness while also being timeless.
In addition to the logo and stationery system, Jackrabbit created various essential collateral. All the materials were consistently and cleanly branded to convey a professional image.
The organization required a stationery system that was clean, professional, and well-designed. Our services encompassed crafting various stationery items such as letterhead, business cards, envelopes, mailing labels, notecards, and e-signatures.
In its first annual report, the POST Commission laid the groundwork for a series of future regulations for police officer conduct, including outlining circumstances when law enforcement personnel might be denied recertification that allows them to do their job. This inaugural report was of high importance and the Commission trusted Jackrabbit for the design and production of the report. The nearly 30-page report spans the start of the POST Commission on April 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2022.
The POST Commission asked Jackrabbit to design official certificates which would be presented to individuals who were instrumental in the implementation of the multifaceted police reform law while simultaneously guiding the formation of the new public agency.
