A pest company with an eye for exceptional design and usability is no pest at all!
PUTTING SMART BRANDING AND SEO AT THE FOREFRONT
When Colonial Pest came to us for rebranding, we were charged with a tall task. How do you get people excited about bugs? Well, being a leader in pest control services in the New England area with a wealth of knowledge and a library of resources certainly helps! We worked with Colonial Pest to bring their brand to life with a whole new look and feel.
In the competitive pest control industry, mobile responsiveness and SEO are extremely important. We designed and developed a mobile-friendly site using SEO best practices—without sacrificing design. We were able to create meaningful page structures to better organize Colonial Pest’s SEO rich content. Additionally, we focused on specific pages related to both regions and pests, encouraging high performance for more targeted search terms.
Colonial Pest, similar to many business to consumer clients, receives a lot of traffic to their website via mobile devices. Responsive design is important in everything we do, but the responsiveness of the Colonial Pest site was paramount. We made specific decisions around certain page templates to ensure a mobile viewer was seeing the most relevant, action-oriented information front and center, while still being able to browse through the site and access it’s rich content.
Logo Design & Collateral
As part of the rebrand, we updated Colonial Pest’s logo to be more iconic and unique. We also created supporting collateral pieces to establish an updated look for the company, and bring consistency to their various customer touchpoints.
While working on the website redesign, we were thrilled to create custom illustrations that help give Colonial Pest a unique and approachable look. We’ve continued working together to bring various pests into illustrative form.
New photography was key in updating the brand and helping to build an image library. With a day’s photoshoot, we captured a variety of shots that highlight the process of working with Colonial Pest Control and show off the new logo. Jackrabbit helped every step of the way from casting, planning, and art direction, to shooting and editing the photographs.
