Tedy’s Team started in 2005, after Tedy Bruschi of the New England Patriots suffered a stroke at the age of 31. When Tedy’s Team was created, the main goal was to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of stroke, and to break the stigma of who can have a stroke. Over the years it has grown to include an endurance training team, which now runs in the Boston Marathon and helps fund life-saving research.
After over 15 years of raising awareness and fighting stroke, Tedy’s Team was ready for a new, modern look. Jackrabbit was thrilled to partner with them on the creation of their new logo. We then helped support the organization in updating its identity across all marketing materials including a wide range of BE FAST graphics that inform people about the signs of stroke.
The Jackrabbit design team created a modern, sport-style logo that represents the unified team aspect of the organization and the work they do. We are excited that the new logo has been well-received by all, including donors, runners, survivors, and volunteers of the organization.
Website Design & Development
The website tells the story of Tedy Bruschi’s comeback to the NFL after his first stroke. It explains why Tedy’s Team running members participate in marathons all over the country raising money to support the organization.
Family is a key message throughout their communications, which we also portrayed visually by showcasing many photos of their team members. The website strikes the right balance between informational and emotional.
The Tedy’s Team website is a resource for runners who want to join in fundraising efforts. As a large percentage of site visitors use mobile devices, it was critical to ensure a streamlined and easy responsive experience. Clear event information was central to guiding participants to partner with Tedy’s Team as they build their awareness in the community.
BE FAST Stroke Awareness Graphic
The BE FAST acronym is an easy way to help people remember the signs of a stroke. Knowing the signs can help save the life of someone experiencing these symptoms, and that is exactly why Tedy’s Team hopes to spread this valuable knowledge.
Giving Others a Chance for a Comeback
Tedy’s Team Comeback Assistance program is a major initiative for the organization. The program helps stroke survivors get the support they need in their recovery process. When Tedy’s Team wanted to tell the story of Eliana, one of their Comeback Assistance recipients, they reached out to Jackrabbit to tell her story through video. Eliana’s comeback is a truly incredible story of survival, strength, and determination.
Bru's Comeback Pack Run Series
During the pandemic, it was important that Tedy's Team remain engaged with the community of runners and supporters, while continuing to raise awareness for stroke and heart disease. They created a virtual run series that include three different races. They wanted a unique and memorable identity for the event so Jackrabbit created this retro-style event branding, which was applied to everything from their promotional materials to their event race medals.
We came to Jackrabbit asking them to create a website for us that showed our passion for our mission. What they did was create... the only word I can say is... a championship website that I am so happy about. I'm thankful to Jackrabbit for everything they've done for Tedy's Team.
