Website Design & Development for Northbridge Communities
As a locally owned company that leads the industry in New England, Northbridge Communities understands the uniqueness of the region and embraces that individuality in each of its nearly 20 senior living communities. This local pride can be seen in the farm fresh food they serve, the people they hire, and even the agency they engaged for their website redesign. I bet you can guess who that is…
Web Design & Development
When Northbridge Communities first approached our Boston-based firm for its website redesign, we were excited about the prospect of helping them improve user experience. Northbridge offers many choices for seniors and their families–our goal was to organize this information in a logical way that communicates feelings of compassion, trust, and safety.
A Custom, Interactive Map
With community locations throughout New England, we wanted to create a unique regional map that would make it easy for users to find exactly what they’re looking for. The map itself is clickable, with each state highlighting the number of communities that it is home to. It also features a zip code search and service and state filters.
One Website, Many Brands
With close to two dozen communities in their portfolio, creating a structure that could accommodate each unique brand was a challenge we were up for! Our user experience specialist helped the team at Northbridge think through scaleable options that would truly work for them. Once users click into their desired community, they’ll see the custom branding that we incorporated specific to the community’s features, location, and overall vibe.
One of Northbridge’s main goals was to convert visitors more quickly. With that at the forefront of our minds, we made conscious decisions when architecting and designing the site. The design features visually prominent call-to-action buttons throughout with a bold orange color that stands out to visitors. Additionally, we built the website and organized the pages on a wide scale as opposed to a deep scale. This means that it’s not complicated for users to find the page, service, or resource that they’re looking for—they are always a click or two away!
The Northbridge Communities website showcases the environments and services provided to seniors so that they may live life to the fullest.
A Thoughtful Presentation of Complex Content
An area where we flexed our user experience skills was figuring out how to show all of the different floorplans offered at each community. When Northbridge gave us the floorplan content, we thought through different scenarios of how it could be displayed. We wanted it to be simple for our team and Northbridge to use, and of course useful and helpful for site visitors who are considering different floorplans. What we came up with was a dynamic, applicable floorplan template that can be used for all of the communities and looks pretty awesome.
